CAN YOU IDENTIFY THIS PLANT?


While in Richmond, Tasmania we photographed this plant. It stood approx 4 metres, but grow much taller. It's Botantical name is - 'Carya ovata' - (ovata is the type of Carya) and often seen in the Tasmanian hilly country. It's common name is 'Catkin' (refers to the type of flower - long tail like structure).
