E-BLAST 21 May 2017

Laguna Quays Respite - Aidtaskers invited the communities of Midge Point, Bloomsbury, Laguna Quays, Thoopara, Lethebrook and Surrounding areas to a community forum at the Midge Point Community Hall last Mon evening 6.00pm. Mark attended.
A debrief of the Cyclone Debbie was presented, as well as an opportunity to hear about how Aidtaskers are changing the way future disasters might be managed in this area. Disaster Services Coordinator for Aidtaskers, David Ayles gave a realistic and innovative view of how these communities can prepare, respond and recover to disaster events moving forward.
