Irenie How and Matt Joils - Christchurch NZ - planning the 2018 young writer conference in Christchurch - tentatively booked Sat 25 Aug with Sat 1 Sept as the reserve date.
Mark and Delma met with Irenie and Matt on Thurs afternoon in Christchurch and worked thru some ideas and in October the Young Writer's Brian Trust Chair Sam and Salley Gillespie is meeting with them in Christchurch to confirm the program. We're all excited,
We caught up in Invercargil with Tim Newman 2015-2016 NZ Basil Sellers Award - for the Tronson Consistency award. Tim is now a journo with the Southern Times. In Christchurch we had a dinner with their young writers as well. A busy 'fun' week of meetings.
