Tweed Heads Chamber of Commerce breakfast Tues morning, the annual April ANZAC breakfast saw George Friend speak on the South West Pacific battles. He focused on The Battle of the Coral Sea, Papua New Guinea (including Milne Bay and Kokada), the Bombing of Darwin, Sydney's midget submarine attack and bombings, and the naval attacks on New Zealand. Although many Australians may know of these, Americans are painfully unaware and he does American cruise ship tours giving packed out seminars on these South West Pacific battles that changed the course of Japan's WWII.
