STRAIGHT TRACK FOR 2010

Mark's New Year message was his Footplate Padre article on a straight track ahead. Christian Today Australia has published this story which sets in train a new paradigm with Mark's articles. As from January 1 his E-media links are being sent the Christian Today Australia E-Link for each day's story with permission to reprint.

NELSON COOK - LA

Nelson Cook, Coaches of Influence in Los Angeles, with whom we spent a week in ministry last February, is running a sports coaching clinic ministry with his church mid year 2010 and needs Christian cricket coaches. Mark has let people in his links know of this Mission.

LOGO RETAINED

Mark has opted to stick to the current Logo although many organisations and missions have been updating their logo. The Logo has the ancient family crest Raven with the fresh leaf (Respite), the open Bible and Holy Spirit emblem (Christian), and the paint brushes (art and media).

CHRISTMAS DINNER

It was lovely having most of the family home for Christmas dinner.

OPEN BIBLE

Mark took this photograph of his King James 1611 version of the Bible for a media article. Mark's has been expaning his photograph options for articles other than faces of people.

SALLEY GRADUATED

Salley graduated from Bedford Business College in Sydney. Salley was invitd to give the speech on behalf of the student body and was also awarded the L M Charles award, one of the big three. Salley's aim to continue university in accountancy in Sydney.

PETER BLENCOWE

Peter and Ruth Blencowe are the House Masters at Flo Harris Lodge in Sydney (Petersham Baptist Church) where Salley lived through 2009 as Wesley did in 2002. It is a youth accommodation facility largely for Baptist young people from the country. AUSLAN AWARD

Delma was awarded an Auslan Certificate (deaf signing) having passed three examinations by writing down the words that were signed by instructor Betty Bonser.

OLD STORIES STEAMY

'Old Stories Steamy' is one of Mark's 16 railway books, this was published in 1992, eighteen years ago. Mark has been photographing the covers and utilising them as illustrations in his Footplate Padre media articles.

HOCKEY CHAMPIONS

Mark's 1985 book, 'Hockey Champions', like his other books, are having their covers photographed as illustrations for his media articles. This cover is an illustration for a field hockey story on the philosophy of tactics (as in life).

SEA SCAPE

DELMA WITH SUE STANMORE

Delma and Sue Stanmore have been friends since school days. Sue Stanmore's husband David died after a long illness and we attended the funeral in Maclean.

ROBERT STANMORE

Robert Stanmore gave the address at his brother David's funeral. Robert and David were Australian canoe champions from the 1970's from Maclean (Delma's home town). Robert and Mark have been friends all these years.
