LQ CAR PORT

Laguna Quays Respite car port from the rear - the frame is now up but its been too windy for the men to safely attach the roof.

The car port is pleasingly wide - 6 metres - and will host a donated gas bbq. We are curently in the hunt for a large table and either stools or chairs. The view to the left is of Repulse Bay.

YOUNG WRITERS

Seven panellists (Australia and New Zealand) for the Basil Sellers Young Writers Award which consists of a $1000 for top points from the Australian young writers and $1000 for top points from the New Zealand young writers - presented at the mini-conference 5 September in Melbourne.

The Panellists sometimes add comments to a particular article and over these past months I've mentioned some of these comments. Wellington NZ Panellist Christina Tyson sent in this comment for (pic) Gemma Taylor (July article): "A bold and provocative article on self-image that also critiques society. A terrific read." Delma and I also enjoyed this article but for different reasons.

E-BLAST - 7 JULY 2013

Mark's Tuesday article this week in Christian Today is on Dr Richard (Dick) Telford (photo) who spent many years at the AIS - known each other for yonks. The article is on LOOK - 'Lifestyle for our Kids' undertaken by Dick Telford who was the first sports scientist at the AIS (Australian Institute of Sport) and now at ANU (Australian National University).

Mark's Monday article is on the growth industry of having a body guard, Wednesday's is on The Beach House, Thursday (see item below) and Friday "Who needs me?" the new philosophical question.

BE CAREFUL WHAT YOU TWEET

'Be Careful What You Tweet' is an article by Mark for Christian Today being published on Thursday. It highlights how a current Federal politician has already been fined $100,000 for a Tweet.

Mark then discuss the nature of Comment writing (his daily article). The photo of Tyask Cymbler 2005 Auchwitz when Mark was on the March of the Living illustrates the nature of Comment writing.
