E-BLAST - 25 NOVEMBER 2012

Laguna Quays Respite - Garry & Hilda Poole gave us these Paw Paw trees as tiddlers in August and now look at them. We arrived in Tweed Heads on Thursday late afternoon.

Speaking of nurturing, the process for the young writers is as follows: After editing by Mark, all 10 "Comment" articles for the following week are sent into Christian Today each Friday afternoon (the young writers occupy 2 columns each day).

Each morning 6.00-8.00am Christian Today's David Chang re-edits each article, (only occasionally re-editing is needed, then David rings Mark). Once published Mark emails PSI with the article links to other Australian Christian Media and each Friday to our International data base. This current issue of Encounter magazine has re-published two of their articles. It's quite an undertaking each and every week day.

CYBER SPACE 247

John Lyons features in Mark's article on Tuesday titled "Annie 8, watched on video on YouTube on how to apply make-up to appear even prettier". The article highlights articles from the secular media on how dangerous the Internet can be for our children. John Lyons and Garry Poole are mates.

Christian Today on Tuesday is the article. John is linked into a US team of cyber space engineeers who have developed a modem where the parents can control what is viewed and for how long for each child (eg Billy on Facebook for 15 min). It's called CyerSpace 247.

YWAM Whitsundays Schoolies Week - Mark visited the Airlie Beach YWAM office (while at Laguna Quays Respite) catching up with director Jeremy Humphries (right) and 2ic Yngve Erlandsen (Yngve and wife Lisa are from Norway). YWAM has a marque fitting 220 people seated at tables for Schoolies Week for Airlie Beach along with the Red Frogs bridage.

Yngve and Lisa after 'Schoolies Week' are considering becoming young writers for 2013 to join other YWAM young writers Genevieve Wilson and Lisa Goetze (replacing Tim Wilson).

$25 TARP DUAL CAB UTE

2nd hand tarp - Auto Recylers (Airlie Beach) had saved this pre-loved tarp for me (August visit to Laguna Quays Respite) as the previous one had frayed and unrepairable. Tuesday I dropped Delma off at Craft Class with Sue Spencer in Proseropine and headed for YWAM - called in to this auto place. Cost $25 (how cool was that!) and by threading the expandable tye rope it fitted.

Eight more plants from Garry and Hilda Poole and we transplanted a quite large passionfruit to the shade house.

Sea Horse - Midge Point Beach (Lagnua Quays Respite) - taking our 7.00am morning beach walk and paddling in the ocean, Mark spied this Sea Horse.

Camera in hand (as is Mark's custom) he took some photographs and then enlarged, trimmed and sharpened them - one result is this quite amazing pic.

Mark painted a Sea Horse last year (philosophical) - which is now in the Basil Sellers Art Collection in Sydney..
