FOOTPLATE PADRE


The February Footplate Padre article is on timetables, in particular the Spirit of Progress' timetable which was exactly the same whether hauled by the mighty S Class streamlined steam engine (see photo) or the diesel era hauled by the huge monolith S Class Diesel Locomotive. This book cover was Mark's 15th railway book published in 1994.

12 MONTHS AGO


12 months ago early February we were in Vancouver (Winter Olympics meeting), Los Angeles (ministering with Coaches of Influence) and Dallas with Carl Lewis awarding Delma and Mark Gold Medals for their 27 years of Sports and Olympic Ministry. This photo shows Mark responding with Delma.

ANNUAL ARTICLE


Mark's annual Australia Day article for Christian Today Australia was accompanied by this photograph of a tradition Australian beach scene of life savers.

AUSTRALIA DAY


The annual three families get together for Australia Day was very much enjoyed - the Carlson's (Tracey & Ian), the Hagen's (Sharyn and Warren) and the Tronson's (Delma and Mark). Warren & Mark were toddlers together at Crediton Qld. Ian is Mark's ministry helper.

TRACEY & DELMA FLY THE FLAG


Tracey and Delma flew the Australian flag on Australia Day at the annual three family get together on Australia Day. Ian Carlson had the flag, Mark's attempt to tie it failed, so Tracey did a better knot and this time it stayed put.

BASIL SELLERS


Mr Basil Sellers AM was interviewed by Mark for the Australian Missionary News IPTV on 22 January in Sydney. Mark sent the original video of the interview to his friend Peter Scotland for 'close up' editing which Mark's editing equipment is unable to perform.

ROSS CLIFFORD


Reverend Dr Ross Clifford was interviewed by Mark for the Australian Missionary News IPTV in Sydney in January. Ross who is Morling College Principal asked for a copy of the interview for the Morling web site and an MP3 version which Mark's friend Peter Scotland is preparing.

INTERVIEWED BY DELMA


Bev Clifford, wife, mum, grand-ma and lawyer was interviewed by Delma for the Australian Missionary News IPTV. Bev and Delma have been friends since 1978 when their husbands were at Morling College together. Mark started in 1977, Ross in '78, friends ever since.

JEANINE TREHARNE


Jeanine Treharne of America's Cup fame (Hugh was the tactician) was interviewed in Sydney by Mark for the Australian Missionary News IPTV. Jeanine was one of the very first on board to support Mark way back when he initiated the sports ministry.

TOP CHRISTIAN ARTICLES OVER 10 YEARS


Mark wrote a series over January 2010 for Christian Today Australia, on the top Christian Articles over the past 10 years. No. 3 was the article from the Beijing Olympics, of field hockey star Andrew Smith.

YURI RODOSLI


Yuir Rodosli is from Brazil liked my art that he requested I paint for him - specification was 2 metres by 1 metre with bright reds and oranges to brighten his mornings. This was the canvas before being stretched.

MANGOS


This was the best yield of mangos in four years from the small mago tree in the back section of Timeout in the Tweed.

RICH & ELISA BROWN


We enjoyed Rich and Elisa Brown who are missionaries in Ecuador. They visited for 3 days to Timeout in the Tweed having had a lovely week of respite at Timeout in Moruya. They came to us through Kim & Michelle Gillis.
