E-BLAST - 15 MAY 2011

Salley was baptised at Petersham Baptist Church last Sunday - the large youth was very supportive. Youth Minister Tim Bradford called for anyone else to be baptised and young Daniel came forward and was also baptised. Earlier that day we had a lovely Mother's Day lunch - everyone was there except Wesley (soccer commitments Gold Coast). Hayley and Kurt drove up from Canberra.

Five young Commenty writers were published last week in Christian Today - Alison Barkley (Newcastle), Natalie Alexander (Cairns), Kurt Pubniks (Canberra), Merewyn Foran (Melbourne) and Russell Modlin (Alice Springs). Tomorrow (Monday) is Donna MacFarlane's (Perth) first article.

Past 2 weeks Mark's series on Miracles (10 articles) were published in Christian Today.

SEAN SPENCER WITH A CATCH

Sean Spencer the facilitator at the Basil Sellers Laguna Quays Respite House, a 'desperate fisherman' took Mark fishing in the tinny to Midge Island 4.30-9.30pm Friday. We came home with a catch! Sean's keen to host visitors to a fishing trip.

Sean and Sue's Connect group started Wednesday night, Delma attended a Bible study Thursday in Proserpine with Sue and on Tuesday with Sue again for a craft class. Other news is Delma finally drove the Dual Cab.

Final Inspections from Mackay Council - a little more cyclone protection required (building), and plumbing: numerous fiddly things. The grease trap and septic pumped out as required. Very pleased with end results.
