E-BLAST - THURS 31 MAY 2018

Delma with Margaret Pearce  - Will and Margaret from Midge Point - called in yesterday at Timeout in the Tweed.  They run the Calen Christian Church (Uniting) and their house is opposite the Laguna Quays Respite cottage. Will does lots of maintenance jobs for the mission's house. Margaret and Delma are bestest mates and Margaret is one of our 5 praying ladies. Over the years we have enjoyed 5 praying ladies who pray for Delma and me, our family and ministry every day. Inevitably over 41 years, sadly someone needs replacing and Margaret is the latest in this long line of spiritual warriors.

Over lunch two separate meetings, one the PSI young writer editors, and two the new planning team for 2019 One Day in Melbourne.
Meanwhile the Tronson women and grand daughter (5 in all) had a wonderful day together 'out and about' in Melbourne.

E-BLAST - THURS 10 MAY

Three decades to the late 60's this house on Midge Point Beach - the lower section - was a shop. We had morning tea on Monday with some local octogenarians who were well acquainted with the area as their families visited Midge Point for 2-3 months over the summer from the 30's onwards - many were cane farmers and this was their quiet season.
It all changed as by the late 70's these beach houses at Midge Point were only occupied after Christmas for a 2-3 weeks. This house in Cyclone Debbie last year went under with 4 feet of water.
