E-BLAST - SUN 27 OCT

Laguna Quays Respite entertainment area - mission visitors last month have contacted us to donate entertainment area tables and chairs replacing the current small round tables and orange plastic chairs - plus some additional items of furniture. This might happen in Nov or Dec.
In the storm season we ask visitors to turn these tables and chairs upside down due to high winds. The heavy 'blue' workshop table provides ideal space for dishes and the bbq meat selections. There are mission people visiting there as we speak.

E-BLAST - SUN 20 OCT

Time for something less serious  -  the E-Blast has been really focused for months on end. I wrote about our family tree two weeks ago, this is a follow up. The photo is the Tronson family Crest - the Latin reads 'Glory before Riches'. We have a family tree parchment dating from 1570 thru to 1725. Tronson is Norwegian, in the C11th migrated to France for religious freedom and were Huguenots in the C16th escaping to England.
Recently I received correspondence from England - formally tracking down this part of the family's history (filling the gaps) - a Tronson 'Lordship' in the C17th had been bequeathed but never taken up, and I was sent the Crest. I'm not the eldest son, the 2nd son went into the church - there you are! I'd possibly be a Lord Bishop  ...... a Bishop's Court (fancy big house).
Where's Tony Abbott and his Queen's Honours when you need him - our family - Lords and Lady's. We watch those UK period television programs, love 'em, especially the Clergy (fuddy duddies).
Any rate - that's not the point the story. I was conveying all this in a conversation with Adelaide young writer Amy Manners - it came up (forget)  -  turns out Amy is a direct descendant from Henry VIII and is a Lady indeed. We're suggesting any others ...  at the next young writers conference ....  who can believe it  -  there you are, something less serious.

E-BLAST - THURS 3 OCT

Kiwi young writers 'standing alone' continues to be a great leap forward as now the International young writers have followed suit and in 2020 next year the Australian young writers too. There are four parts to this. Fist the coordinators who send the reminders of the young writer due dates. Second the editors. Third the photo selectors. Four, the person who forwards on the Thursday the package of articles for the following week to Christian Today. Very pleasing.
