E-BLAST - 18 OCT 2018

Laguna Quays Respite - gutter replacement - gracious and precious giftings to replace the gutter in the first week of Nov 5-9. The photos shows the concrete drive way where the gutter leaks and it's been a long time coming to get this fixed. The total cost to replace the entire length of ocean facing gutter is $1500. This is by our long time plumber Troy Bannister who has done all our work since its opening in 2011. Please consider helping in this - tax deductible

E-BLAST - THURS 11 OCT

Russell Modlin is the young writer rep for Well-Being Australia having been a young writer and now a senior writer. Russell also serves as the much loved perennial MC for the annual young writer conferences. He and Belinda have three boys, one of which Kurtis was badly injured in the leg (soccer) and after some months in hospital and several operations now looks to be on the mend. He is a mentor to many young people and is now celebrating a Gold Medal in the Qld AFL Masters "National Titles" - we all applauded. The dad joke is that he and his Masters AFL mates are glued to the telly for the AFL drafts ... just in case!

E-BLAST - THURS 4 OCT

photo  -  Bishop Brian Carrell, Mark and Russell Modlin at the Christchurch young writer conference. Bishop Carrell said of this photo taken by my eldest daughter -
"Three declining gents, reclining gently!"

It was late morning Sat on 1 Sept listening intently to Daniel Jang's plenary on our personal journey with the Lord as young writers.
Mark found the photo in a book his family gave him from their New Zealand family holiday - the TransAlpine train, the conference and their family's holiday.
