FOOTPLATE PADRE


Mark's March Footplate Padre article for the On Track E-Railway magazine is on the distance it takes an express train to pull up. The article was written after a Brisbane Magistrate commented on this in an Inquest. The photograph shows fast trains on the cover of Mark's third of sixteen railway books, 'Driving Trains the Australian Way'.

DAVID McDOWELL - DROWNING MAN


David McDowell the author of 'Drowning Man' his personal testimony after a surfing accident that left him with a spinal contusion (as in Christopher Reeves) yet he was miracously healed. Mark interviewed David for the Australian Missionary News IPTV. The photograph was taken in the Basil Sellers Tweed Art Studio.

AIS BASKETBALLERS


Well-Being Australia's Matt Boyes (centre) had a delightful morning with the AIS Basketballers on their annual respite retreat to the Basil Sellers Moruya respite facility which Kim and Michelle Gillis have further developed with their ministry. Matt Boyes spoke to the lads on 'communication' which the coach later revealed was his theme for the week.

PETER OTTMANN


Peter Ottmann is the cousin of Basil Sellers and when we visited Peter and Sue (north of Brisbane) Peter showed us the pre 1948 photograph albums when they were boys in India. Peter explained 'Anglo-Indian' referred to the the three generations of British (British married the British) in India. When Indian independance came they were kind of like 'displaced persons'.

SUE OTTMANN


Sue and Peter Ottmann live in Burpengary (north of Brisbane) and we visited them. Peter is the cousin of Basil Sellers and Sue and Peter look after Delma and Mark at the various Basil Sellers functions.

ARTHUR COUSIN OF MARK


Arthur Tronson and his lovely wife Danielle (married 2 years) visited us. Arthur served in the First Gulf War in the Navy in communications. The father's, Davis and Seymour were brothers.

33rd ANNIVERSARY


Delma and Mark celebrated their 33rd anniversary in Tweantin / Noosa with Peter and Jenny Scotland, they were away the weekend 12-14 February.
