JEREMY & RUTH DOVER AND FAMILY


Jeremy Dover one of our young sports writers and young anchormen for the Australian Missionary News IPTV was Ordained on 3 September at the Bannockburn Presbyterian Church (Geelong). Congratulations to Jeremy, Ruth and Issac.

FIRE BOX


Mark's Footplate Padre article for the September issue of the On Track railway e-magazine, is about a wild boast that a train driver made to his fireman in the days of steam. The article is also in our September newsletter. Mark fired steam engines in the late 60's.

IAN & TRACEY CARLSON


Ian and Tracey Carlson had dinner with us in August. Ian is Mark's ministry helper and has been a regular with him when visiting the SE Qld AIS Sport Units. Ian is an Education Dept. medically retired deputy principal (Lymphoma). Tracey is a school teacher.

GEORGE CAPSIS


Reverend George Capsis has run a parrallel ministry pathway as have we over these past 33 years. George met with us at an 'Around the Tables' mission gathering in Sydney in August. George is also an elected Councillor on Sutherland Shire Council.

DELMA AT THE BEACH


Due to privacy issues we are not permitted to display photographs of our grand child or her parents. But we can show you Delma at the beach (with them) when they were visiting us in August.

WESLEY SOCCER


Wesley No.7 played for the Tweed Valley Kings in this his first year back from the UK after 7 years. He played for Manchester Juniors in the UK and in 2008 his team was the only England team that won any European Tounament (Prague). He writes the English Premier League soccer for Christian Today Australia (each Wednesday).

TIM & GENEVIEVE WILSON AND FAMILY


Tim and Genevieve Wilson and family visited us in the Tweed from Brisbane. Tim is with YWAM (Youth With A Mission) in Brisbane and co-ordinates their International Discipleship School and the Sports Ministry module.

NATHAN & KAREN DIRS AND FAMILY


Nathan Dirs is the new Bible teacher for our monthly newsletter. Nathan is the 3rd over 28 years, Simon Manchester and Vic Matthews were the initial two. Nathan is 4th year at Morling College and takes up the Associate Minister's role at Narwee Baptist, Sydney in 2011.

ANDREW SMITH - KOOKABURRA


Andrew Smith, Kookaburra 2008 Beijing Olympic Bronze Medallist was interviewed by Mark for the Australian Missionary News IPTV. Since retiring after Beijing, Andrew is coach of the Victorian Under 18 Team and Assistant Coach Junior Kookaburras who won Gold at the Junior Olympics in August.

ERIC & ALYSON SMITH


Eric and Alyson Smith are the parents of Andrew Smith, Kookaburra. Eric and Mark played hockey together in St Matthews Hockey Club in Wollongong and the Illawarra Rep. Team in the early 70's.

TONY DUNKERLEY


Tony Dunkerley who regularly travels with Mark on Country Town Tours, President of the Victorian Football Federation was interviewed by Australian Missionary News IPTV young anchorman Jeremy Dover.

INTERVIEWING ARGENTINA'S ELISABET


Elisabet from Argentina told the Australian Missionary News IPTV that there are 800 Baptist Churches in her nation. Mark used this wall display at the Convention Centre in Honolulu to interview delegates at the Baptist World Congress.

KWABENA KYEI AKOMEAH - GHANA


Kwabena was one of 40 Baptist World Congress delegates (last week of July) in Hawaii who Mark interviewed on the Australian Missionary News IPTV. Kwabena prayed that morning the Lord would lead him into ministry that day at the Congress that might leave an impact.

WALTER KLIMT - AUSTRIA


Walter Klimt a Baptist minister from Austria was one of the 40 Baptist World Congress delegates that Mark interviewed for the Australian Missionary News IPTV.

WILLIE MOORE - NEW ORLEANS


Willie Moore is a Baptist minister from New Orleans, the only US Baptist World Congress delegate of the 40 interviewed on the Australian Missionary News IPTV. After the interview, Mark spoke to Willie on Tourism Ministry.

The Baptist World Congress the last week of July at the Honolulu Convention Centre was well promoted even with flag banners.

USS MISSOURI


While at the Baptist World Congress we visited the Pearl Harbour Museum which included a visit to the USS Mirrouir (Surrender Deck) and the USS Arizona Memorial.
