E-Blast - 20 March 2016

Delma asked me to photograph this Midge Point Beach sign to illustrate there has been an occasional sighting of a crocodile - a few years ago was the latest from memory. When at Laguna Quays Respite we have a daily 7.00am beach walk - we've never seen one, but we keep an eye out especially at the two ends of the beach where there is mangrove. We arrived home to Tweed Heads on Thursday late afternoon.

E-BLAST - 13 MARCH 2016

Delma at Bloomsbury Rural magazine stand, one of the best craft and card making magazine stands we have come across. Bloomsbury is 18k from Midge Point (LQ) and is on the Bruce Hwy. It is like an all purpose general store, post office, petrol, all things rural, tractors and trailers ... we always visit once during our visits for Delma to indulge the magazine stall.

E-BLAST - 6 MARCH 2016

Country Town Tour - photo - West Mackay Uniting Church men's breakfast - a tribute to the late Tony Dunkerley who spoke here in the mid 2000's on CTTs. Mark addressed the men on his ministry over 39 years telling many stories of interest and focusing on Matthew 5. They were in Mackay for two days attending to various things including a morning tea with Roger and Julie Ven Der Veen (Respite Ministry).
