Could be out of action for months. Next Sunday is the Midge Point arts community Fancy Dress 4.00-6.00pm - Delma has a Hawaiian outfit, I'm Rumpole of the Bailey, I have a $5 white wig from the cheap shop and my preaching gown. When we arrive we'll do a full audit on the mission respite cottage after the cyclone. More next week.

E-BLAST - 23 APRIL 2017

ANZAC Day is Tues 25 April. The photo is Mark preaching at Anzac Cover at Gallipoli in 1999 with three coach loads of an InnerF aith Travel tour in which Mark was a tour guide. In 2010 on a Country Town Tour in Albany WA we were shown where our troops left Australian waters for WWI. 60,000 did not return out of a population of 7.4m. Little wonder Australia commemorates such matters. Many of you have your own military family stories. My maternal grand father Harry Davis won a DSO in the trenches and in 2016 transferred to the Royal Flying Corps as so many pilots and observers had been killed. Two years later as a war pilot after the Armistice he himself was killed in a training flight and is buried in the Cologne Imperial War Cemetery. My sister visited the grave and we have a photo. My mother was in the womb.

E-BLAST - 16 APRIL 2017

Easter Sunday - the resurrection of Jesus - such remarkable assurance in our affirmation of conviction in the risen Christ. Delma turned 64 last week and this was her morning walking outfit on Thursday in order to stay visible to the drivers' of so many motor vehicles in Tweed Heads. Delma usually walks around 7.30am to the river and back, some 30 minutes or so.
This weekend is also the half way point of the young writer's being marked by the panellists for the annual Basil Sellers Awards which get presented in August at the young writer's conference. This week the conf planning group met in their deliberations. Exciting.
