Laguna Quays Respite  -  Plumber Troy Bannister who has served us since opening in 2011 shown here replacing the hot water system. 4 years ago Troy did a job on it and expected it not to last for 12 months, but it keep going for 4 years. It was now leaking and the electrics were shot. This is the maintenance part of our ministry as we have missionaries coming in shortly after we leave here in 10 days. The cost was $1550 and your gracious generous help towards this will be greatly appreciated in the Lord's service.

E-BLAST - 19 JULY 2018

Footplate Padre  -  Grafton Locomotive Depot this morning - we are visiting Delma's 90 year old mum and Delma's sister - on such visits I make a bee hive for the locomotive depot - this pic shows the view from the cabin of a 48 Class diesel looking along the footplate and engine compartment 'ahead' - this was the same view the driver had in the days of steam with the steam engine compartment and footplate in front of the cabin. In the days of steam the fireman would stoke the fire - which I did on the late '60s as a fireman stationed in Goulburn. 

E-BLAST - THURS 12 JULY

Our grand-children sent us this life like photo a little time ago. It reminded me of years ago when Salley came home from school reporting when she told her friend what her dad did, the response was "Ministers are "fuddy duddies" - this photo certainly reflects such a description.
The ladies in Delma's community volunteer roles - a deep affection for her. A few weeks back in her devotion and prayer at Cuppa and Chat, one lady said: "You are good at what you do" .... (Delma interpreted this to mean - a Minister's wife).

The 2018 Panellists' marking concludes this week - from 15 January thru to 6 July sets of Panellists have marked the young writers determining the 2018 Basil Sellers Awards presented at the young writers conference on Sat 1 Sept in Christchurch.
